Southern Ocean Lookout is a new and outstanding holiday destination.There are commanding views in almost every direction from the house. 180 degree panoramic views from the north to south looking west over Salt Creek (a sea inlet about 400m from the house), which is part of the Coffin Bay waterway, then the Horse Peninsula and to the sea beyond, including the north-facing coast of the Coffin Bay National Park. In other directions, the main outlook is over bushland and Mount Dutton.
The Lookout is in a serene setting on 125 acres of mainly open, original coastal bushland. Apart from the owner's house, your nearest neighbour is more than 200m away and the next nearly 1km! The shores of Salt Creek, which include two small, shallow shell beaches are about 400m down the drive.
Farm Beach is less than 6km away. This is the best family and swimming beach in summer on the Eyre Peninsula, because of its wide and gently shelving sands and calm, protected waters. In summer there is no lugging of gear and kids from car to beach, as you can drive onto which ever part of the beach takes your fancy and unload at the water's edge.
