A visit to Savina Lane's cellar door is more than a wine tasting, it is a wine experience. Visitors can explore the vineyard on a self-guided walk with interpretative panels for each of the varieties.
Savina Lane Wines are part of the region's Strange Bird alternative wine trail, with Fiano and Montepulciano from Italy, Tempranillo and Graciano from Spain and Syrah (Shiraz), Petit Manseng and Viognier from France.
Vignerons Brad and Cheryl Hutchings work closely throughout the wine-making process with renowned winemaker Mike Hayes, who shares their belief that the best wines are made in the vineyard and not the winery. They focus on environmentally-sustainable viticulture, combining modern vineyard management with respect for tradition and use natural fertilisers and compounds wherever they can, for crop protection.
